A very traditional type of flooring is herringbone (or parquet) flooring. The term herringbone relates to the pattern of the floor and not finish or colour. This pattern is made up of small blocks of flooring in a herringbone pattern or a range of many other geometric patterns. It can alter any area with its deluxe appeal.
Engineered herringbone flooring is very much suitable with underfloor heating. Furthermore, it is marvellous for any room as it can be put through capricious temperature changes and is great for rooms with lots of glazing.
The engineered herringbone is less likely to warp than solid wood as it is more stable.
As the engineered herringbone is durable it can be laid in rooms heated with water based underfloor heating.
