Using a roller and paintbrush, I worked board by board, ensuring even coverage and exiting through the doorway to avoid stepping on the fresh finish.
While the lacquer dried, I used the time to load the equipment into the van. Once the first coat was dry, I performed a gentle buff with a diamond mesh screen to smooth out any grain-raising that had occurred. Following a final hoover, I applied the second coat of matt lacquer, completing the transformation of the floors.
